Gutter (Gut-ter)

1. A channel, or gulley, worn by running water. Something forming, or intended, to form a channel.

2. A groove at an eaves or metal trough under an eaves to catch rainwater and carry it off (as to a downspout)

3. A low area, course, ditch, or furrow (as at a roadside) to carry off surface water (as to a sewer)
