1. the liquid outflow from any treatment tank or device. 2. liquid discharged as waste (as water used in an industrial process or sewage) 3. liquid such as water or sewage, flowing from or out of a treatment basin or tank. 4. a thing that flows out or forth specifically: (a) a stream flowing out of a body of water, (b) the outflow of a sewer, sewage tank, etc.
