1. a water closet consisting of a continuous trough in a floor containing water. The trench extends under two, or more, adjacent seats, or spaces, for occupancy. Multi-person use at one time. 2. a fixture, or apparatus, to receive abdominal cavity discharges; device sometimes flushed with a constant flow of liquid (water)
